John Trabert has proudly called Amherst home for 61 years. Along with his wife, Maura, he raised four daughters here, building a life rooted in family, hard work, and community values. Now, he’s ready to continue serving the town he loves by bringing common-sense leadership and fiscal responsibility to the Amherst Town Board.
A Legacy of Service
John dedicated 27 years to protecting and serving Amherst as a member of the Amherst Police Department. His career in law enforcement instilled in him a deep commitment to public safety, accountability, and transparency—values he will uphold as a Town Board member.
